Delete your DailyTogether account
This page exists because Google Play requires it. Any app that lets you create an account must also let you delete it — including after you have uninstalled the app and can no longer reach the button inside it.
In the app
The fastest way, if you still have it installed:
- Open DailyTogether
- Go to the Profile tab
- Tap Settings → Account → Delete account
- Type
DELETE
Sign-in is blocked. Your profile name becomes Deleted member. Your push notification token is cleared, and your membership in the couple ends. You cannot undo this from the app.
If you have uninstalled the app
Email vicharshala9984@gmail.com with the subject line Delete my account, from the email address you used to sign up.
That last part matters — it is how we confirm the request is yours. We do not delete accounts on the strength of an email from an address we cannot tie to one.
We will confirm within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What changes
- The name your partner sees becomes Deleted member
- Your push notification token is cleared
- You can no longer sign in
What stays
- Your email, profile photo, and time zone remain in the database
- Private writing you did not share remains in the database
- Your sign-in credentials are disabled, not erased
- Content you chose to share with your partner stays visible to them, under the name Deleted member
| Shared history, while your partner still has an account | Kept, shown as Deleted member |
| A couple after every member has closed their account | A daily job may remove that couple, and the apologies that belong to it, after 30 days. The job has to be scheduled |
| Records we are legally required to keep, such as purchase receipts | As long as the law requires |
Why shared content stays
Because closing your account should not reach into someone else's.
An apology you sent your spouse is something you gave them. If leaving the app could erase it from their side, then every apology in the app would carry a quiet asterisk — and the whole point is that it does not. It stays on their side, shown as Deleted member.
If you want something you shared removed too, you have two options: delete it in the app before closing your account, or say so in your deletion email and we will remove it.
Just want to disconnect, not delete?
If the problem is the pairing rather than the account, you do not need to delete anything.
Profile → Settings → Account → Disconnect from partner
Nothing is deleted. Everything you have written stays, for both of you. You can connect with someone again later.
