Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 September 2026 Last updated: 27 September 2026
DailyTogether ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Satendra Pal, Lucknow, India.
This policy explains what the app collects, why, who can see it, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
- We collect the minimum needed to run a shared account for two people.
- What you write — apologies and reflections — is private by default. It reaches
- Your private writing is never sent to analytics, never written to logs, and never included in
- We do not sell your data. There is no advertising profile built from anything you write.
- You can close your account at any time. Sign-in stops. What remains, and what your partner keeps, is described under *Deleting your account*.
What we collect
You give us
| Data | Required | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Yes | To create and sign in to your account |
| Password | Yes | Stored only as a hash by our authentication provider. We never see it |
| Your name | Optional | Shown to your partner |
| Profile photo | Optional | Shown to your partner |
| Wedding date | Optional | To show anniversaries and years married |
| Time zone | Yes | So "today" means the same day for both of you, and reminders arrive in the morning rather than the middle of the night |
You create in the app
Apologies, reflections you write inside an apology or a conversation, conversation records, prayer sessions, notes, your shared couple verse, and the activity history built from them.
This is the sensitive category, and it is handled accordingly. It is stored so that only you and the partner you have connected with can read it. It is never used for advertising, never used to train any model, and never analysed for any purpose other than showing it back to you.
The app records automatically
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Which features you opened, and when | To know which parts of the app are used |
| Prayer streaks, reading counts, session lengths | The features themselves |
| Push notification token | To deliver notifications you have turned on |
| Crash and error diagnostics | To fix crashes |
| Your device's advertising identifier | Only if you choose to watch a rewarded advert. Shared with our advertising network — see *Service providers* |
Usage records carry counts, durations and categories only — never the text you wrote. A record says "an apology was completed", never what it said.
We do not collect
- Location. The app asks for no location permission and collects no location data of any kind.
- Contacts. Connecting with your partner uses a code you share however you like.
- Health, fitness or biometric data.
- Your religious beliefs. The app is built for Christian couples, but it never asks you to state
- Payment card details. If you subscribe, the store handles payment and we never see the card.
Who can see what
Your partner sees what the app is for: your name and photo, that you have read today's scripture, that you prayed, your shared streak, your shared couple verse, and the specific apologies and reflections you have chosen to share. Nothing else.
A draft is not shared. An apology in progress is yours alone until you tap share. If you are connected with a partner, that draft is stored in our database as well as on your device. If you are not connected, it stays on your device.
We can technically access the database in order to operate it. We do not read your content, and we do not have a product or process that involves doing so.
Nobody else. There is no public feed, no discovery, no way for a stranger to find you, and no sale or licensing of user data to anyone.
Service providers
The app runs on third-party infrastructure. Except where noted below, these companies process data on our instruction and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
| Provider | Handles | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, file storage | supabase.com/privacy |
| Google Firebase | Push notifications, crash reporting, usage analytics, and hosting for our website | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google Play | App distribution, and subscription billing if you subscribe | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Serving rewarded video adverts | policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
| RevenueCat | Managing subscription status | revenuecat.com/privacy |
AdMob is the exception, and we will not blur it. An advertising network uses the data it receives — principally your device's advertising identifier — for its own advertising purposes, so this is sharing, not merely processing on our behalf. It is the only place in this app where that is true. Rewarded ads are requested as non-personalized (npa), so AdMob is not used to show ads based on your behaviour across other apps.
You can limit it: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset or delete your advertising ID, and the app keeps working either way. Watching an advert is always optional — it is one of the ways to unlock a feature, never a requirement.
Where your data lives
Servers operated by our providers, which may be outside your country. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
| Sign-in and the name your partner sees | Sign-in is blocked when you close the account. The name becomes Deleted member |
| Email, photo, time zone, and private writing | Remain in the database. A partner who is still active keeps the couple and its history |
| A couple with no remaining member | A daily job may remove that couple, and the apologies that belong to it, only after every member has been deleted for 30 days. The job has to be scheduled |
| Incomplete apology drafts | A daily job removes unfinished drafts after 7 couple-days, once that job is scheduled |
| Crash and diagnostic data | Up to 90 days |
| Records we are legally required to keep, such as purchase receipts | As long as the law requires |
Security
- All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS.
- Access to data is enforced at the database level by row-level security policies, so a user can
- Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider. We cannot read them.
- Your private writing is excluded from logs, analytics and crash reports by design.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
Your choices
In the app
- Edit or delete anything you have written
- Turn off any category of notification
- Disconnect from your partner without deleting anything
- Close your account. What that does is described under *Deleting your account*
By asking us at vicharshala9984@gmail.com
- A copy of your data
- Correction of anything inaccurate
- Deletion of your account and data
- A restriction on how we process it
We respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR)
Our legal bases: contract for running your account, and legitimate interests for keeping the app working and secure, including usage analytics. There is no switch in the app to turn analytics off. Consent covers notifications, which you can turn off in Settings. You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA)
You may ask what we collect, ask us to delete it, and ask us to correct it. We will not discriminate against you for asking.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
Deleting your account
In the app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account, then type DELETE.
If you no longer have the app, follow the instructions at <https://dailytogether.in/delete-account>.
Closing the account blocks sign-in. Your profile name becomes Deleted member. Your push notification token is cleared, and your membership in the couple ends.
What stays. Your email, profile photo, time zone, and private writing remain in the database. Your sign-in credentials are disabled, not erased. Content you chose to share with your partner stays visible to them, under the name Deleted member, not under your original name. A partner who still has an account keeps the couple and that shared history.
A daily job may remove a couple, and the apologies that belong to it, only after every member of that couple has closed their account and 30 days have passed. That job has to be scheduled. It is not turned on by the app repository. If you want something you shared removed sooner, delete it in the app before closing your account, or ask us.
Children
The app is for married adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
